We started the day in Falmouth where the big ships pull into harbour.
We were up and out early to get the ferries we needed in order to get onto the Rosalind peninsula. All part of the path.
Highly frustratingly, despite the website and all other indicators saying that crossings would be running until the tide was an issue at 10:30, we find this on the pier which says no sailing today because of the weather. Looking at the mill pond of the sea beyond it makes it even more frustrating but it is what it is (a storm is forecast later). I hope they enjoyed their day in the pub.
So we take a taxi all the way around for an hour and £70 lighter make a start.
We have a new companion on the path today, Paul, who meets us there to start the walk.
There is quite a moody atmosphere today but it feels pleasant to begin with.
Our destination today is around this far point Nare Head.
We reach the pretty town and beach at Portscatho - very proud of the amount of miles someone is eating up!
The sea is beautiful and when we pass the local lookout point we are told that the weather will be up to force 9 gales. Shortly afterwards, at the Beatiful but almost deserted Pendower Beach it begins to rain and the wind comes up.
Slightly damp we pause for shelter.
It is very windy, raining and gloomy as we get onto the head.
The storm is nowhere near as powerful as Monday but it is still pushing us around and driving the rain into us.
We hit Bloith point above Portloe and some has adopted storm trooper poses :-)
Portloe is another beautiful little fishing hamlet. And our accomodation is right on the sea.
Time for a dry off in front of the fire.
Red sky at night - hopefully no rain while we are waking tomorrow.
